UnSend: Email, text, and social media disasters…and how to avoid them

Wednesday 2:30 – 3:30 PM

Session Description

Human Resource professionals facilitated a 3-fold reduction in Equal Employment Opportunity Commission claims between 1999 and 2015 by using real-world examples to train their employees.

In the same manner, electronic communication disasters can potentially be minimized through real-world case studies for training. “UnSend: Email, text, and social media disasters…and how to avoid them,” is based on the research of the book by the same name and equips HR professionals with the examples needed to train their workforces.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify situations with the potential for a problematic email, text, or posting.
  2. Recognize the role that metrics, bonus plans, client expectations, and deadlines play in email, text, and posting calamities.
  3. Appreciate the impact of electronic media mishaps on careers and corporations.
  4. Integrate the lessons acquired from examples into the everyday use of electronic communication.
